INFORMATION

Garcia designed instruments with an innovative fan-shaped bracing pattern of usually eight vocal bars (a construction that would be further developed by Fleta) instead of Torres’ more common seven vocal bars. He also innovated the look of the guitar by lavishly decorating the instruments with marquetry and carving their heads with woodcarving that would become his trademark. The unusual sound hole of this 1912 copy is a good example of this.
