INFORMATION

The Gibson Byrdland was released in 1955 and was slimmer than the L-5 CES, the electronics-equipped L-5 with one cutaway. The instrument had a thickness of 5.5cm/2.1 inches and was therefore almost 3cm/1inch thinner. The most striking aspect of the design of the Byrdland what its scale; is just under 60cm/24 inches.
