INFORMATION

The ES-335 was released in 1958 and marked an important milestone in the guitar’s history. The instrument had neither a hollow nor a solid body: a solid block of maple wood ran through the center of the body, with two hollow ‘wings’ attached to it.
The maple veneer top had two f-holes on each side of the hollow chambers. A comfortable neck was attached to the slim cutaway body for easy access to the 21st fret. The ES-335 was a sales success and has remained in production since 1958.
