The Gretsch White Falcon was presented at the NAMM-show in 1954 as a unique piece and was called the guitar of the future. However, it received so much attention that Gretsch had no choice and had to release the instrument. The White Falcon has an unusually large body and was marketed as ‘the most beautiful guitar we can make’. It therefore had a corresponding price tag of $ 600 (about € 3000 today).
