INFORMATION

In the 1950s Grimshaw archtops manufactured acoustic and electric guitars. The SS Deluxe was the most exclusive. The body was very similar to that of a Gibson ES-335, but it had uneven cutaways and sound holes in the shape of a cat’s eye. Some examples were equipped with Grimshaw’s own patented vibrating tailpiece, others (with the name ‘Custom’) had humbuckers.
