INFORMATION

The guitars’ design was unusual. Ashram combined the narrow body of Panormo’s English parlor guitar with the fan-shaped bracing pattern of the Spanish classical guitars. However, the way the neck was attached to the body was unorthodox: the dovetail joint was replaced by a more complex and reliable head-to-tail connection, for which ingenious techniques and modern materials were required.
