INFORMATION

Jose Ramirez (1858-1923) was the first of a dynasty luthiers to build outstanding instruments for 130 years. This happened for a long time from the workshop in Madrid that he opened in 1890. The Ramirez brand is nowadays considered as high as Steinway for pianos. Ramirez’s reputation rests mainly on his flamenco guitars, which were larger than those of Torres or the Torres-inspired models such as those of Vicente Arias.
