Martin’s 2-27 model was made specifically for women in terms of size.This copy was more decorated than the model 28. These models cost about $ 58.50 (now about $750). The most expensive models on the price list are all parlor models for women and the most expensive, the 2-42 model cost $ 90.
The 2-27 was one of the most popular Martins of the 19th century and remained in production until 1898.
