INFORMATION

Old Kraftsman guitars were made by Kay from Chicago and sold through the Spiegel mailorder-catalog. Kay used different brand names for the different guitars he made, which were adapted to specific catalogs and chain stores. Many of these guitars were budget models, but occasionally Kay showed his craftsmanship with a quality instrument like the Old Kraftsman Crown.
The Crown had a sound hole in the shape of a crown. The fingerboard was decorated with detailed inlays. The headstock was inlaid with gold, and the tuners and tailpiece were covered with gold leaf.
